Lucky...

So I do know that its June, but this was a project I made for my house and as I was looking through pictures, I realized I never showed it to you. :) Also, there are a few retired products on this, but again, since it was just for me I used what I had. :)
I so love this! Maybe I shouldn't say that, but I do. Its one of those things I love and just want to look at all the time. I think it was almost May before I finally took it down to store for next year. :)

I posted lots of pictures so you could see all the detail in each square. Again, everything is inked or sponged in some way...I just love so much the way that it makes things look. :)
If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks for visiting....Have a great day! :)

Welcome Home...

I'm baaack! :) I'm not promising anything though. I love being creative and making things, I just don't do it very often. I also love sharing the things I make, so here we are. :)
A little background on this card....My Brother-in-law had recently gotten his Realtors licence and sold a town house to their good friends. My sister called and asked if she sent me a picture of the new house if I would make a card for her. So that's what this was for. :) I had a lot of fun making this card. It was a little time consuming, but so much fun. :)
Here is a close up of the front door and such. I used the texture plates to try and make it look like brick and used window sheets in the windows to look like glass. :)

I think I sponged EVERYTHING. :) I love it. :)
If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks for visiting...Have a great day! :)

Turkey Treats...

Now, I know that Thanksgiving has long been over...but since I slacked and didn't post anything for two months, you didn't ever get to see the fun holiday stuff I made. :) I think over the next little while I will show you all of those holiday projects, but with most of them, you change them up for any reason or holiday. :)
Today is my cute turkey...I love him. :) I saw a lot of different versions of the sweet treat cup turkey, but this was my version. I of course had to have candy that matched, so I got Reese's Pieces...they were the perfect colors. :) We made the turkey at a workshop in Southern Utah. The hostess wanted a place card for her guests on Thanksgiving, so I glued the turkey to a 3x3 card. Wouldn't you love sitting down to him?! :)

Here he is from the side so that you can see the card. I love the way he turned out...maybe the only thing I would have changed would be inking the edges of everything. :) You know how I love everything with the edges inked. :)

If you have any questions, just let me know. Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

A Quick Tag...

I just wanted to share this quick little tag that I made a couple weeks ago as a handout for my lesson at church. I had to make about 20, but even doing that many, they went really fast. I cut the tag out using the Two Tags die and the Big Shot and then I used the new Vintage Vogue set from the mini. I love this set! :)

If you have any questions, let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Cute Cookies...

I needed a quick little Thank You for a friend that helped me take dinner in to a family in our neighborhood. I made some cake mix cookies (the easiest cookies ever! :)) and put them in a cello with some of the fabulous new satin ribbon. I added the tag and called it good. It was a super quick thing, but I love how it turned out. :)
Here is a close up of the tag. I scrunched and crumpled up all the pieces of the flower and then inked them up with a sponge and Chocolate Chip ink. Is it just me or is anyone else loving the new flower and heart punches?! They are so much fun. Ok, so then I cut out a tag with the Two Tags die and put the flower on there. Super easy...I love that die. It gets used ALL the time. :)

If you have any questions, let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Birthday Fun...

Last month our friends little boy turned 1! He had a monkey theme for his party and when I saw that, I got all these ideas in my head. :) I wanted to make a monkey tag and a matching bow. I have seen these bows online before, but I have never tried to make one. So this is my first attempt...pretty good, I think. :) I mixed up the layers a little, but its still cute.
I wanted a BIG bow, so this was the next one I tried. I like how it turned out...I know a few things for next time I try one this size to change, but all in all...pretty fun. And it is really big! :)
This is the bow I finally decided on. Its a little smaller than the last one, but I love how it turned out. It was perfect. :) Here is just a shot of all three together so you can see the size differences. :) Also, I know some of the papers are retired, but I still wanted to show you. :)
Now, on to the cute monkey. :) Isn't he so cute?! Maybe I shouldn't think that, but I do...I love his little heart nose. :) I used the Scallop Circle die and Big Shot for his head and then various circle punches for his eyes, ears and mouth. :)
This is what I did with the back. I cut out a circle with the Clear circle die and then used that to cover up the ears and make a clean spot to write on.
Here is the final product. :) I found some fun kraft wrapping paper and then used some linen thread to make the monkey into a tag. I had so much fun making it and I know the birthday boy had fun opening it all up. :)
If you have any questions, let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Yep, I am alive! :)

Happy New Year! I'm pretty sure I only have one person looking at my blog anymore, so, thanks for hanging in there! :) I have had a nice break from blogging, but I am SO excited about all the new products coming out this month, and I can't wait to show you all the fun things I want to make with them. :)

Today I just wanted to share this invitation I made for a Young Women's activity. I wanted to show you fast, because after tomorrow the fabulous paper I used will be gone. I have loved this 'Night & Day' DSP so much...so many fun designs in the one package.

So, I forgot to take a picture of how the invite opened, but it is just a tri-fold, and the flap with the black scallop opened first and then the other side.
Here is a bit of a close up of the butterfly. I love it. :) I used the Butterfly Big Shot Die and then I ran the white butterfly through again inside the Finial Press embossing folder. :)
I attached the butterfly to a belly band that just slid on and off. :)

If you have any questions, let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Little Notecards...

Last month my cute friend Megan gave me a package of these darling note cards and envelopes. They are the perfect little note card or tag for so many things. They would be great to toss in with a gift or to give with a plate of cookies...so many great ideas come to mind. :)
Well, I was inspired by hers and wanted to make some as well. I did mine very Christmas-y because I thought they would be perfect to give with my neighbor gifts this year! :)

I used the cute set Tree Trimmings for the ornament and the fun set Sweet Season for the sentiments.
I am loving embossing images and then water coloring them. I did that with the ornaments, so here is a little close up of that. You can click on the picture to see it even better. :)
Then this card I put a 'to and from' on it. Perfect again for so many things! :)
If you have any questions, let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Clearly Fun...

I love making boxes! They are so much fun to decorate and even funner to fill and give away! :) A few weeks ago when I was borrowing some of Ashley's Big Shot dies, I thought how fun it would be to make some clear boxes...I cut a bunch out but hadn't had time to play with them till the other night.
So, this is the Box #2 die...it is such a fun box. I am still in Halloween mode, so of course I had to make it all fun and Halloween-y. :) Here is a close up of the ghost. I don't know if you can tell, but I crinkled up the black scallop before I glued it on, and I embossed the ghost with black embossing powder. :)

Then here is the cute box from the back. :)
Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Fabulous Shimmer...

I have a super fun card to show you today! I received this as a swap from my fabulous friend and upline Ashley. This card is great, but it was made even better by putting shimmer spray all over it. Have you seen the new shimmer paints in the mini catalog? Well, they are great. There are so many fun things you can do with them...one more great thing was Ashley made shimmer spray by adding some paint to rubbing alcohol. It is hard to get a good picture of it, but trust me...it is fabulous! :)
Here is a close up where you can see the shimmer a little better. Awesome huh?! Plus, the best part about it in my opinion...it dries fast and then its done, it doesn't get all over the place! I love the way glitter looks, but it drives me crazy when it is all over...so this is the best of both worlds! :)

Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)

Halloween Card Ideas...

I went to a training event last weekend and got some super cute cards! I thought I would share a couple in case you are in need of some fun Halloween ideas! :) Both cards I am going to show you use the cute Pumpkin Patch set. I love it. :) This first card was done by my friend Candice Anderson. Isn't this mummy so stinkin cute?! The eyes are a piece of window sheet, to give a sneak peek of the inside....what is inside, you ask?
A cute row of pumpkins! So fun and so clever! :)

This next card was done by my awesome upline Brandi! It is a swing or flip flop card. If you want to make one yourself, there is a tutorial HERE. Anyway, here is the front of the card...
then when you open it, the center panel flips and you get a new image. So fun! :)
Here is a close up of the cute pumpkins.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Thanks for visiting...have a great day! :)
