I want to show you the other birthday card I made recently. It was my Brother-in-laws birthday last week, so I cased Angie again and made this fun card. :) You can see Angie's card HERE. I kept the layout and stamps the same but changed up the colors. :)
Now, since we don't have markers in the In Colors I had to be creative to get Baja colored hats. You can use a blender pen, but I wanted a nice dark color, so what I did was used scotch tape and put little bits of tape on the parts I wanted to be Chocolate Chip. Then I inked up my stamp in Baja...removed the tape pieces and then used my Chocolate Chip marker to color the rest. :)
This card is so fun because when you open it up there are pop-up spirals inside. We saw this fun technique last year at convention and I finally made one. :)
A close up of the fun springy party hats. :)
Enjoy...and if you have any questions, let me know! :)
What I used:

Very cool idea with using masking tape! Definitely somthing I will have to try.
How cute!! I love your color choices, so nice and perfect for a guy!! Great tip on the tape with the Baja and Chocolate! TFS! I so wish they would make the In Color markers!
I love the spirals! I definitely need to try this sometime, thanks for the reminder!
Thanks for sharing....(I have to say, I like your color combo better)
