One of the fun things about convention is they always have so many fun projects on display! I love taking pictures and coming home with all sorts of fun new ideas! :) I thought I would show you just a few of the cute scrapbook pages I took pictures of. 
I know that Convention ended almost a month ago and I have been slacking sharing anything with you. I have SO many fun things to share though, so I figured I better get started. :) I signed up for some organized swaps during convention. It was great, I just made a whole bunch of my pages and came home with lots of new ideas! Anyway: I want to share what I made for the swaps.
This is my 6x6 page/card. We were supposed to make a page that could easily be folded in half and turned into a card. That way people get both ideas. :) I love this page. For the flower I punched two scallop circles out of the yummy new Melon Mambo, and then cut in between all the scallops to make it look like petals. I hope that makes sense. :)
Then these are the pages I did for the 12x12 swap. I used the Pick a Petal set to make the cute border at the bottom and then the "petal" stamps to make the candle flames! I also used the fun texture plates and the Big Shot to texture all my candles, I think it gave them so much fun dimension. :) I want to give a BIG Thank You to some of my stamping friends...Candice, Mindy, Heather and Jan! (Let me know if I missed someone. :)) My kiddos were sick the whole week before Convention and so I wasn't able to get my 12x12's done at home. They were so great and helped me finish all my pages so they would be ready to swap. Thanks again...it really meant a lot to me! :)

To start National Scrapbooking Month out right, I want to show you these pages that I did this weekend. I know, there is some non-Stampin' Up! product on here. *Gasp* Don't judge me. :) I really try to stick with SU! product, its pretty easy because its about all I own...however, I have had (and loved) this paper for about 2 years and just haven't used it. :) It is from Imaginice and I got it knowing I wanted to use it for some of my sons pages, but because of how much I love it, I haven't been able to bring myself to even cut it. :) I just wanted whenever I used it for to be perfect. :) You know what I mean right? Or am I the only paper hoarder out there? :)
So, again...sorry its not Stampin' Up! and I can't tell you were to get the paper, if they even still make it, but I love these pages and wanted to share. :) I have been holding off showing you these pages because honestly they are not my favorite. It may be due to the fact that when I made them is was 3 in the morning. :) I do like the idea of the page and the strips themselves, but I don't like they layout of the title. Its needs to be broken up a bit or something. I decided to show them to you though because I do like this way of scrapbooking once in awhile. I got this idea from my 5th level upline, and I really like how quick (hence the name :)) you can do a whole album. I do want to try more of these, so when I get them done I will definitely share. :)

I kinda stopped for awhile because, well, I don't know why...I always loved it before :) Who knows...either way, I started again and I LOVE it!
Sorry the colors are kinda washed out, I finally got my new camera...YEA! but I am still trying to figure all of the different settings out. :) Ok, so the base of the page is Kraft cardstock (love that stuff! :) ) and then the other colors are Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron.

A little while back I made a progressive scrapbook page for a workshop. You can see it HERE. I used the exact same layout but changed up the colors and everything to use the fun new free Sale-A-Bration paper, stamps and ribbon. Anyway, this is the 6x6 page. Its kinda hard to see since its white, but you get the idea. :) Oh, and sorry about the quality of the pictures, it was dark outside when I took them and now everything is glued together so I can't really take new ones. :)
Here is the 8 1/2 x 11 page. 
Here is the 12x12. All of the stamped images are stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I inked the edges and center of each image to give it some depth.

I have been trying to come up with some new fun things to present at workshops and as I was going through old notes I had taken, I found one that I had written from when Mary Polcin presented to us at Convention. Mary was the first woman from Stampin' Up! to hit $1 Million in Career sales. Anyway, she presented the progressive scrapbook page. Not something new, but it was new to me. I want to start including a 6x6 scrapbook page into my free make 'n takes for my workshops and I thought this would be the perfect way to show people what to do with the pages once they got home to have it accommodate whatever size of scrapbook pages they do. :)
Ok, so on to the pages. I first made a 6x6 page.
Then did an 8.5x11 base.
Then here is the 12x12 base.
I really liked doing this type of page. One thing that I sometimes get stuck on, is I have a big blank 12x12 piece of paper and sometimes it is overwhelming to come up with a cute way to fill it. So, with this I can start small and always have smaller areas to fill instead of being overwhelmed with the one big space. :) Anyway, if you have any questions be sure and let me know! :)Ok, now that Christmas is over I can show you what I have been up to! :) I made my sister a 6x6 scrapbook of her growing up. I love the way it turned out and I am pretty sure she did too! :) I used almost everything from SU! some of it is current, some retired and some new! Also, some of the pages aren't quite done, and the last bit of her (high school, engaged, married) aren't quite done because I am missing pics, but when I get those done I will for sure show those as well. :)
Yesterday I got invited to go scrapbook, and I was so excited. This is seriously the first time I have scrapbooked in 3 years! :) I had so much fun and I am so excited to start scrapbooking again. :) I used the retired Simply Scrappin Kit Creative License to make these pages, so fun....and I have to say that I am loving Simply Scrappin Kits. :) Anyway, just wanted to share because I am so proud. :)
Also, I want your thoughts....I had always planned to make a scrapbook/books for each child and then one for myself, I still want to, but at the same time don't want to make a bunch of duplicate pages, so I was wondering what you do? Do you have one for each kid or just one big one for yourself and then your kids can fight over it later? :) Any thoughts would be great!

This first card I love. It uses one of my most favorite new things that is coming out in the new catalog tomorrow...the scallop edge punch!
This box is so cute! It was so easy to make and hold little note cards and envelopes. A perfect little gift. I love the ribbon on it! Its the new 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette grosgrain...so fun!
