Random Things...

I have been busy today working on things for my open house, but I still wanted to show you something, so I have a random bit of things. :)
This card I'm sure you remember from THIS POST. Well, I asked if anyone had any ideas and I got one. So, thank you, Ashley and Kristine...I loved the idea and just wanted to show the card even more manly. :)

This card I cased from myself for a make 'n take for my January workshops. You can see the other one HERE. I love this layout, its so quick and easy to make a cute card! :)

Then I saw these cute notebooks HERE and HERE and of course wanted to make some. I made this one to use as a gift for my hostesses. It uses the new Lv. 3 hostess set Goody Goody Gumdrops. Such a fun set and how can you go wrong with pink and brown. :) And yes, if anyone has noticed I have had a slight obsession with inking the edges of everything I make lately! Help...I can't stop. :)

I know I know....

...my blog needs help. :) I am working on something fun, but in the meantime didn't want to look at snowflakes anymore either. Bleh. So, if in the next few days my blog keeps changing, just know that I am working on it and am very indecisive. :)

January Club Projects...

I forgot to post my club projects and so I wasn't going to worry about it, but then I remembered that some of my girls still needed to see them. :) I cased both my projects this month, but I thought they were so cute when I saw them that I didn't want to change them. :)
This card was done by Kimberly Van Diepen. You can see her card HERE. I loved the layout and how sparkly it was. It is hard to tell, but everything on my card, except the red love you word, was stamped with Versamark and then embossed with iridescent ice. It is so much cuter in person. :)

Then this fun card was done by my friend Kasia Jackson. You can see her card HERE. She is super creative and I loved how the card folds. I love the little pocket inside, and it would be fun to make this card for other occasions as well and it could hold a gift card, some money, a chocolate square...really anything small that you want to give. :) Enjoy! :)
What I used:
Full-Sized Card
Stamps: Love You Much, Short & Sweet
Ink: Versamark, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, Iridescent Ice, Heat Gun, Sponge Dauber (for inking the edges), Dimensionals

Pocket Card
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, Scallop Circle, 1 1/4" Circle and Round Tab Punches, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Sponge Daubers (for inking edges), Dimensionals

A Catalog Case...

I was challenged to CASE a card from the new catalog to show customers how easy and fun it is to use the same layouts that are already in the book and just change it to use what colors or stamps that you already have. It was a good reminder for me also, because sometimes I feel like I get stuck in a rut, making the same layout all the time...or else I have a blank moment and cant think of anything, so it was a nice reminder that the Idea Book and Catalog is just that. A huge IDEA book. Full of all sorts of fun things to get your mind going. :) Oh and the card I cased was on page 106. :)

What I used:
Stamps: Party Hearty
Ink: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black Marker
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals

Manly Card?!?!...

I am working on a new idea where I need lots of manly cards. I will let you know more about it when I have more details, but in the mean time I need a manly Valentines card. Does this work? I think it needs something, but I don't know what to add without making it girly again. I tried to stick with neutral colors...yes, to me Chocolate Chip is neutral...I swear I used it every day, probably as much as Whisper White, if not more. :) I stamped both of the hearts in Chocolate Chip craft ink and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.
Anyway, what do you think?

What I used:
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft and Classic Ink
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Kraft
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Sponge Dauber (for antiquing edges), Chocolate Chip 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

Progressive Scrapbook Page...

I have been trying to come up with some new fun things to present at workshops and as I was going through old notes I had taken, I found one that I had written from when Mary Polcin presented to us at Convention. Mary was the first woman from Stampin' Up! to hit $1 Million in Career sales. Anyway, she presented the progressive scrapbook page. Not something new, but it was new to me. I want to start including a 6x6 scrapbook page into my free make 'n takes for my workshops and I thought this would be the perfect way to show people what to do with the pages once they got home to have it accommodate whatever size of scrapbook pages they do. :)

Ok, so on to the pages. I first made a 6x6 page.
Then did an 8.5x11 base.

This is the 6x6 and 8.5x11 together. Then here is the 12x12 base.
The 8.5x11 and the 12x12 together.
Then all of the pages together.
I really liked doing this type of page. One thing that I sometimes get stuck on, is I have a big blank 12x12 piece of paper and sometimes it is overwhelming to come up with a cute way to fill it. So, with this I can start small and always have smaller areas to fill instead of being overwhelmed with the one big space. :) Anyway, if you have any questions be sure and let me know! :)

What I used:
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Heart to Heart Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Sponge Dauber (to antique all the edges), 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals

Wahoo!!!...

Well, first things first...my boxes of the NEW catalog finally came and oh my goodness, there are some amazing, fabulous, great, etc, etc...new things. I am so excited! My husband thought I was crazy, but he just doesn't get it. So exciting! If you need a copy let me know! You can start ordering the new things on Monday the 19th! :)
Anyway...Kristina posted this weeks color challenge this morning. I think these colors are fun, and I wanted to give you a sneak peek of one of the new sets in the catalog. One great thing about being a demo is we get the chance to pre-order select sets so we can start playing with them and getting ready for classes and workshops...ok, back to the card. :) This set is full of fun bold flowers, and the one flower fits perfectly in the scallop circle punch. :) Enjoy! :)

What I used:
Stamps: Petal Pizzazz, Upsy Daisy
Ink: Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink
Cardstock: Whisper White, Ruby Red
Accessories: 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, Holiday Treasures DSP, Dimensionals

Thank You Cards...

My good friend just had her baby and I wanted to make her a set of thank you cards to go with the rest of her gift. They are simple, but I really like the way they turned out. I got the white note cards from my fav store in Idaho and just stamped the baby carriage, used a blender pen to color it and then stamped the 'thank you'. They are super easy to make, but I love the look. :)

All packaged up with some of my favorite ribbon!

What I used:
Stamps: Fast & Fun Notes, Short & Sweet, Best Yet
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Cardstock: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Blender Pen, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Paper Piercer, 1" Double Stitched Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Linen Thread

More Pop Rocks Holders...

I was on a roll making the pop rocks holders and thought I would try some the other direction. I like how these turned out, they would be fun as a money holder too. I am really liking the edges of things antiqued lately, especially on the Kraft. If I don't do it the Kraft paper almost seems naked. :) Anyway, I did another Valentines one and another birthday one. As much as I like these, if you are wanting to make a whole bunch as Valentines for like your kids school or something, I think the first ones I made would be much quicker to make a lot of. :) Let me know if you have any questions! :)What I used:
Holder #1
Stamps: A Happy Heart
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red
Cardstock: Kraft, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, Sponge Daubers, Heart to Heart Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Build-a-Brads, Velcro Dots

Holder#2
Stamps: Party Hearty
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Accessories: Baja Breeze Patterns DSP, Sponge Daubers, Dazzling Diamonds, Velcro Dots

Pop Rocks Holders...

I was at Toys R Us the other day and as we were getting ready to check out I saw a big box of Pop Rocks candy. I thought, those would be fun to give away as Valentines, especially for kids in school. Instead of buying all the pre-made ones from the store, why not make your own. Or let you kids help so it has a part of them in it too. Anyway, they are super easy to make. Start with a half a sheet of cardstock, cut so it measures 8.5 x 5.5. Along the 8.5" side score at 3 3/16" and 6 3/8". That's it, well then either use brads or staple the smaller flap, like in the second picture. Then I just made a belly band to go around it to decorate it real quick. :) I stamped the image 3 different times and embossed them all. I also antiqued all the edges with Chocolate Chip ink. I really like it. :)
The inside.

After I made that one I thought a birthday one would be fun, so I used the new Goody Goody Gumdrops Hostess set for it. Same thing here, only I used brads on the inside instead of the staples. If you have any questions, just let me know. :)
What I used:
Holder #1
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, Scallop Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, White Embossing Powder, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals
Holder #2
Stamps: Goody Goody Gumdrops
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Apricot Appeal, Rose Red, Going Gray
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: Sweet Always DSP, Blender Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals

Well, it's time and I am SO EXCITED!!! On January 19th we can start ordering from the brand new 2009 Spring-Summer Idea Book and Catalog. I seriously can't wait! Can you tell I am excited?!?! So, do you want a new catalog in your hands as soon as possible? How about one in your hands for FREE? You know you want one. :) Here's how:

1. Join My Club- ALL Club members get a FREE catalog. My new scrapbook club starts this month. It will be the 2nd Tuesday of every month. More information HERE. I also have a card club going that has a few spaces open. We meet the 3rd Tuesday and make some fun cards/3D projects. You are required to place a $15 (before tax and shipping) minimum order each month. Let me know if you are interested in either of those. :)

2. Become a Hostess- Being a hostess is one of the funnest things to do...I mean who doesn't love FREE stamps and product? CLICK HERE to see the hostess benefits chart. In addition to those already great benefits, when you hold your workshop with me I like to spoil my hostesses with gifts from me and you get to keep anything that I demonstrate at your workshop. Also, in February Sale-A-Bration starts! Sale-A-Bration is the best time of year for all stampers. There are SO many extra benefits. Hurry, my calendar is filling up fast. :)

3. Place a $50 Order- Place an order of $50 or more and receive a FREE catalog.

4. Undecided about freebies- You can pre-order one for $5 and as soon as my order gets here I will get it to you. I already have some ordered, but if I need to I can always order more, just let me know ASAP so I can get more ordered in time. :)

Alright...that was a lot of info, so as a thank you, how about I show you a cute card! I made this for my good friend Laura for her birthday. I really try when I case things to make them mine and change things up a bit, but this card was to perfect on its own, so why mess with a good thing. :) I found the card HERE. I loved it! The only things I changed were the colors just a bit, I used Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette instead of the Old Olive and Pretty in Pink. Oh, are you wondering about those stamps? They are just one of the new sets coming out in the new catalog. See, I knew you would want a new catalog. :)

What I used:
Stamps: Petal Pizazz, Short & Sweet
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Basic Black
Cardstock: Rose Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Bella Rose DSP, Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Pewter Build-A-Brads, 1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals

Scrapbook Club...Interested?!

I am starting a new Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking club this January and was wondering if anyone was interested in joining. Whats a club, you are thinking?! Its a chance to get Stampin' Up! products every month! Who would not want that?! :) Here's the details:

  • A group of 6 people will commit to be in this club for 6 months.
  • Once a month we will have a "club" night/day. You will either come to my house to make a 2-page scrapbook layout, or if you are unable to attend I will make your pages for you and send them with your order. (If you can't make it, you are still obligated to email me your order on or before club day.)
  • Each person will be responsible for placing a $25 order that night. This is a really great way to get the things you want, and still stay on a budget.
  • Once during the 6-month commitment, you will receive the benefit of being the "hostess" for the month. That means that all sales gathered with earn YOU free Stampin' Up! merchandise! (You can even get outside orders from people not in club to bump up your total!) You are guaranteed at least 1 Level 1 hostess set and $15.00 worth of free Stampin' Up merchandise.
  • You get all the benefits from hosting a party, except you don't have to find the people and you don't have to clean your house!
  • If this sounds fun or if you would like more information, please just email me at welldunnideas@hotmail.com This is a great girls night out! :)
  • Club will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. We will start this month as long as we have the six people. As a bonus, the first person to email me will get to be the first hostess! :)

I am excited to hear from you!

Love Pocket Book...

I was looking at my favorite blogs this morning and when I saw what Ashley had created, I knew I wanted to make one. She made this super fun Christmas-y Pocket Book...it is so cute! She got the directions HERE and they really are super easy to follow. The only difference is that I don't have a Bind-it-All, so I made a spine like Ashley's. The book itself is made from ONE piece of 12x12 DSP. It is such a fun mini book. You could use it for so many things, but I liked the idea I saw and thought it would be a fun Valentines gift for a grandma with pictures of her favorite things...her grandkids. :) Here is a pic of the book all opened up.

Page 1 - I will put pictures on the Close to Cocoa pieces and then do a little journaling on the tags. Page 2
Page 3
Page 4
I had a lot of fun making this, and I can see so many possibilities with it. Just think, a little birthday book with notes from each guest, a coupon book for your hubby with all the little tags a different thing he can turn in and redeem from you. Hmm, I am thinking I know what to give my hubby for Valentines day. :)

What I used:
Stamps: Love You Much, Goody Goody Gumdrops
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Candy Lane DSP, White Gel Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Sponge Daubers, Round Tab Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

Color Challenge #36...

Its time for another color challenge over on Kristina's Blog. Again, I will say, if you haven't checked these out you definitely should! They are a lot of fun. I am glad I made it this week. I was busy cleaning yesterday to have friends come over for New Years Eve, and then today I was out with my hubby for our anniversary. We got home and I had just a bit of time, so of course I had to try and see if I could do it. :) So, I guess this week I got two challenges in one...a color challenge and a time challenge. :) Don't look to close at my card...in my quick hurry, my words are crooked. :)
The image I used is from a new Hostess set called Goody Goody Gumdrops. It will be available Jan. 19th!!! Yeah!!! :)

What I used:
Stamps: Goody Goody Gumdrops
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Old Olive, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Whisper White
Accessories: 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Blender Pen, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
