Gift Card Holders...

I decided to make a bunch of gift card holders as one of the gifts that people can pick when they book a workshop and on the inside I include a coupon for something free like a classic ink pad, pack of card stock, ribbon, etc. that they can redeem when they have their workshop. I made them all using the retiring Cutie Pie and East Coast Prep DSP, I really like this paper, but I also cannot wait to see what the new paper in the catalog looks like! :)

These first gift card holders I found on Dawns Blog. She has so many fun things, I love looking at her blog each day!
Here is just the inside...
These gift card holders I love, I found them on someones blog, but as hard as I have looked I cannot find it again, so if you know who made them, let me know so I can give them credit! :)

The inside...they are like a little book! :)

Baby Shower Gift...

Wow, first let me say sorry! I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted anything, my week flew by, but that's no excuse, so I will try to be better about posting! :) Next, this is the little baby gift I made for my friend. I got the tin from Target, I think, and then just made twenty little thank you cards for her.
This is what everything inside looked like. Sorry about the crappy lighting, I didn't finish my cards till like 2 in the morning, so sadly there was no natural light! :)
Stamps: Fun and Fast Notes, Polka dot, Short & Sweet
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Basic Black
Card stock: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip poly-twill ribbon (retired), Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain, Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon, Fuzzy green ric rac (the fabric store), dimensionals

Baby Onesie Card...

I know there are lots of onesie cards out there, so here is mine. My good friend Wendy is having a little boy and so I made this for her shower. I had a hard time doing a little boy one, all I have really seen are the cute girly ones, but I had fun making it. Sorry the pic is kinda dark, it was later in the evening when I took it. I will try and get a better one soon. :) *Apparantly I don't know how to spell, I think onsie should be spelled like that and I have had others say it should be spelled onesie, I don't know! :) If anyone has any thoughts, let me know! :)*

Stamps: Short & Sweet, Love It (retired)
Ink: Certainly Celery, Ballet Blue
Card stock: Ballet Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: White Gel Pen, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Coluzzle, White eyelets, dimensionals

My Swap Card...

I said I would post the card I did for my swap, so here it is. It is basically the exact card we did here for one of my workshops, I just added the scallop edge along the bottom and used my cutter kit to distress the edges of the Bashful Blue card stock. I did this for my swap because I had a bunch left over from my workshop. :) Enjoy! All Supplies Stampin' Up!

My First Mojo Monday...

Okay, so you are probably thinking, 'Why is there a picture of used grid paper on here?' :) Well, I will tell you...the grid paper was sitting on my desk still after making the swap card and my color challenge card, and this is what it looked like. I was inspired...I wanted to make a card using those stamps and colors, and then I looked over and saw my sketch for the Mojo Monday challenge, so I thought I would make that be the card. :)

This is the sketch we were given...The idea was to be able to use some of your taller stamps, but I don't have any really tall stamps, so I changed it a little. :)
And this is what I came up with...I love it, not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think this is one of my favorite cards I have done in awhile! :) Don't look to close at the dots though, apparently I need the wheel guide! :)
This one is just a close up of the little 'brad washers' that I did (I don't know if they have a better name)! :)
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Lots of Dots Jumbo Wheel (retired)
Ink:Basic Black, Certainly Celery
Card stock: Black (not SU!), Whisper White and Certainly Celery
Accessories: Slit Punch, 1/4" circle punch, Black Brads (not SU!)

Color Challenge #15...

Its time for another fabulous color challenge from Kristina. Although this weeks colors were really hard and I'm still not sure I like what I came up with. I ran out of time to try again though, so it is what it is! :) This weeks colors are Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Not sure if they are my favorite colors together, but I'm glad that I did it because I would have never thought to put them together. I think my card is a little plain, (I think it needs a ribbon somewhere) but I was really trying to focus on the lace stuff that is in the picture. Enjoy!

The smaller picture I included just so you could see that I put it on dimensionals! :)Stamps: Priceless, Lots of Dots jumbo wheel (retired in the Occasions mini)
Ink: Certainly Celery, VersaMark
Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Brads, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Slit Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch

Swap card...

My sisters work girls are doing a monthly swap, and they let me be in it. This month there wasn't a theme, it was do whatever, and so this is what my sister and I made for her card. We used the Baroque Motifs set...I LOVE that set, and the soft sky ink and paper, I will be sad when that is gone. I think they turned out well, and they totally remind me of a wedding card.
I don't know what my deal was, but forgot to take a picture of my swap card, so when I get it back I will post a picture of mine! :) Everything SU! except the black ribbon that came from Walmart.

A Little Late...

I know the 4th has come and gone, but I just realized that I forgot to post these. I have seen lots of different ideas on covering the patties, but the idea for these ones came from my friend Kristine. She made some really cute ones for a baby shower. You can see hers here! I made these to take to a little get together on the 4th...there were more, I just didn't get a picture before they all got eaten! :) All Supplies Stampin Up!

Another Birthday Invite...

Today my little sister Katey and her friend Rachel came down to my house to have me help them make birthday invitations for Katey's birthday. I had lots of ideas in mind, but when Katey got here this is what she wanted to do. She and Rachel did most of it, I just mostly cut and glued for them. I think it turned out cute and I was so proud! :) Some future stampers! :)
We used the retired SU! set Something to Celebrate. Everything SU! except the green CS and the eyelet.

Birthday Invitations...

So today was my sweet baby girls FIRST Birthday! I can't believe she is already 1. Time goes to fast! :) Anyway, I wanted to show you the invitations I did for her party. I got the idea from another blog, but I forgot to bookmark it, and so of course now I can't find it. So if it was yours, or you know where it is from, leave me a comment and let me know! :) I had seen the Criss Cross cards before, but I totally cased the little poem on the invite. It was so cute and I couldn't think of anything more perfect!
*Update...I found the cute invite Here...Thank you Jamie for letting me know! You did a great job on yours!*
Everything is Stampin' Up! except the patterned paper and it came from All My Memories.

Color Challenge #14

It is Color Challenge time again on Kristina's Blog. I have missed not being able to do the last couple challenges because I didn't have the colors, so I was excited to see that this new challenge had at least a couple of colors that I have. The instructions were to create a 'high-contrast, bold creation'. I think I got the contrast part, but I think I struggled with the bold part.

Anyway, here it is. I used the Independence Day and the Short & Sweet sets, and I used one of my favorite tools, the cutter kit, to distress the edges of my card stock. In the end, I like how it turned out. It looks like a masculine birthday card to me. Enjoy! Everything is Stampin' Up! except the black and grey card stock.
