Make and Takes...

A few days ago I showed you some fun projects that were brought as 3D swaps to the business meeting I went to. Well, of course, no get together would be complete without make and takes, so today I wanted to show you two of the things that we got to make! :)

My fabulous upline Brandi designed all our make and takes. She did such a great job! I love this super cute home decor item we did....
...and then this super cute game night tin that holds a pad of paper and pencil for keeping score.

We also decorated a gift bag which turned super cute, of course...but I just realized I don't have a picture and it is too dark to take a good one. I will try and take one tomorrow (if I remember :)) and post it. :)

Quick Strips...

I have been holding off showing you these pages because honestly they are not my favorite. It may be due to the fact that when I made them is was 3 in the morning. :) I do like the idea of the page and the strips themselves, but I don't like they layout of the title. Its needs to be broken up a bit or something. I decided to show them to you though because I do like this way of scrapbooking once in awhile. I got this idea from my 5th level upline, and I really like how quick (hence the name :)) you can do a whole album. I do want to try more of these, so when I get them done I will definitely share. :) Make sure you check back tomorrow. I am going to have a pretty awesome end of Sale-A-Bration special for you with blog candy! :)

Fun Projects...

Last week my 3rd level upline had a training meeting. I love these trainings, it is always so much fun to see all my friends again, and I always learn SO much! For this meeting we were all asked to bring one 3D item that you could use for a gift, class make and take, or stamp camp project. I brought one of my favorite card holders. We did a "show and tell" of our item and then drew a name out of a basket. The person's name that was drawn got to take that item home! It was so much fun! There were so many super cute and creative projects there. I just wanted to show you a couple of my favorites. :)

This cute frame was made by my friend Stacy Jensen. So dang cute! Of course, any of you know that me, know that I am obsessed with this stamp set and paper right now. :) Love it! Good job Stacy. :)
Then this project I just thought was so stinkin' cleaver. So, my friend Melanie took a empty HodgePodge Hardware kit and covered the top and sides with the fabulous Urban Oasis DSP and then used the equally fabulous Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set to make the focal point on the top. Ok, here is the clever part, she put the same DSP on the inside and left the plastic divider and now it is a super fun, super cute way to store all your jewelry when you travel! :) How fun is that?!?! Ok, I was super impressed. :)

There were seriously SOOO many great and fun ideas that night, but I don't want to show you all of them because I want to keep some as a surprise for some fun upcoming classes. :)

A Few More Fab-O Card Holders...

Last week I showed you one of my favorite new things to make...the Fabulous Card Folder! I also mentioned that I had some different ones to show you, well, here they are. :) I seriously love making these, well, I just love making different kits and boxes that hold cards, note cards, love notes, etc...all of those are fun to make, but even more fun to give away and see peoples reaction and how much they love them. :)

This first one is just like the one I showed you last week, the only difference is that it uses kraft cardstock as the base for the box and cards. I think I actually like this one better, what can I say, I have a weakness for kraft cardstock. :) Also, you can't see it, but I used clear embossing powder on all the pears, they looked so cool. :)

This one I love...again with the kraft cardstock, but then I used the fun new Sale-A-Bration stuff. I used the paper, ribbon and Polka Dot Punches set. I love the flowers, my favorite is to stamp them with versamark and then use the white embossing powder. After I heat it up, I use my stampin' sponges and add some ink to the edges and center of the flowers for a little more dimension. :)

Just a detail shot to try and show what I am talking about with the flowers. :)

This last one uses my favorite set lately, Cheep Talk...and I love these colors together too.
Here is the card that was inside...well, one of the four :)
I added some Crystal Effects to the tops of the birds for some extra dimension. You can't use lots of dimension on the cards or they wont fit, so I was doing everything I could to add dimension in other ways. :)
Let me know if you have any questions. :)

March Club Projects...

I thought I would post this months club projects for you real quick. Also, I have my new club starting next month and if you are interested in joining, we have a few spots open, so just email me and let me know. I am also changing things up a bit and will start doing scrapbook pages as well. :)
Ok, so back to this months projects...first we did a pop-up card and focused on the Stamp-a-ma-jig and the markers. I got the tutorial HERE and I actually liked the card in the tutorial so much I just case'd that one. :)
Here is the card all folded up and ready to go in an envelope.
How fun is this? I made one of these types of cards before at a get together during convention...you can see that card HERE. I love these cards...so much fun! We used the markers to color right on the stamp and then used to stamp-a-ma-jig to get everything placed exactly where we wanted it! :)

Just a side view of the card, to see what it looks like open.

We also used Crystal Effects on the flowers for some added shine and dimension, so here is a pic of that up close to see all the fun detail. :)

This was our second project. This is such a fun card that uses a lot of the Fab-O Sale-A-Bration products. I used this card for the idea for mine. If you have any questions on anything just let me know. :)

More Scallop Box Fun...

Last month I showed you this box that I made using 4 scallop envelopes. I made another one and wanted to show you. I love these colors and the little flower stamp! It comes from the Cheep Talk set...LOVE that set! Well, who am I kidding...I love every set on pages 90 and 91 of the catalog! :) Ok, ok...back to the box... :) I made 8 little 3x3 cards and put 8 envelopes and a mini pen in the box. I seriously love any project that uses mini cards because I think they are so perfect any time you need a quick card. :)
Some of the cards from the box...they were all pretty similar. :)

Detail shot to show the paper piercing and the crystal effects that I used in the centers of all the flowers. :) What I used:
Stamps: Cheep Talk, Love You Much
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose, VersaMark
Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Sweet Always DSP, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Jumbo Pewter Eyelets, Crop-A-Dile, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Crystal Effects, Big Shot, Scallop Envelope Die, Brad from retired Hodgepodge Hardware, Chocolate Chip 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

Fabulous Card Folder!...

I had to do this post now, just for Ashley, before I left to get myself some yummy girl scout cookies! :) Anyway...I love, LOVE this card folder! I found the idea on Ashley's blog HERE! I loved hers and filed it away in my "to make one day" folder, and this past week I needed to make a bunch of Bunco prizes and so I pulled this out! Love it! :)
Anyway...here is the folder all closed up from the front. Then here it is opened. I used a Velcro dot to keep it closed.

Here is a picture of the cards (they were all the same) that are inside. The folder holds 4 cards and envelopes, but you can't have lots of dimension on the cards or they wont fit in the folder. I found the super cute layout for the card HERE on Kasia's blog. So cute.
I made a few more in different designs, so stay tuned and I will show you those another day! :) If you have any questions, let me know! :)

Workshop Scrapbook Page...

Here is a fun page I did using my FREE Sale-A-Bration products. I got this fun layout idea from Ashley. You can see her pages HERE. I kinda combined her two pages into one. :) I have decided I am REALLY loving scrapbooking again! I kinda stopped for awhile because, well, I don't know why...I always loved it before :) Who knows...either way, I started again and I LOVE it!
Sorry the colors are kinda washed out, I finally got my new camera...YEA! but I am still trying to figure all of the different settings out. :) Ok, so the base of the page is Kraft cardstock (love that stuff! :) ) and then the other colors are Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron. Its not to late to be able to get some of these great products for yourself for FREE. Just place and order with me, either online HERE or email me at welldunnideas@hotmail.com and for every $50 you spend you get to choose ANY item from the Sale-A-Bration book for FREE! The yummy paper, ribbon and stamps I used on this page all cam from the Sale-A-Bration book.

Stamps: Polka Dot Punches (SAB), Inspired By Nature (title, set is on the dormant list)

Another Fun Technique...

Alright, so I mentioned in THIS POST about my workshop in Southern Utah. Here is another couple really fun techniques I showed them. I don't normally show this many, but they hadn't had a workshop down there for a year, so I wanted to show them lots of fun things.
Anyway, this is called Poppin' Pastels. I forget a lot of times how much fun the pastels can be, they sit hidden in one of my drawers and don't get much love. :) I love the way the images start showing up when you start daubing color into your cardstock. So, basically you just stamp your images on white cardstock with VersaMark and then you use your sponge daubers and pastels to add the color. You can CLICK HERE to see a tutorial on this. :) I just love the way it turns out when you use big, bold images! :)
Oh, and if your wondering, I left the white oval blank so my hostesses could stamp whatever sentiment they wanted right there. :)
I did this bookmark with the same exact colors and stamps, but when you are using dark cardstock you stamp your images with whisper white craft ink and then do the same thing with the pastels and sponge daubers. This is called the Chalkboard Technique. You can CLICK HERE to see a tutorial on that. :) I love the contrast and how vibrant the colors look. :) Plus, don't you just love the clear rhinestone brads? I do...and even better...now you can get them in a pack all themselves. :)

If you have any questions let me know! :)

Emerging Color...

I told you I would share this fun "stepped up" version of the embossing resist technique. Its called emerging color and I just love the way it turns out. This one is still really simple, but more steps and I'm afraid if I try and describe it I will just confuse you and you wont ever want to try it. :) So, CLICK HERE to see a great tutorial on this. This was my first attempt and didn't turn out quite as good as it could have (I didn't let the ink from the leaves dry enough before pouring on the embossing powder) I still really like it. I got the inspiration for the card from this notebook. If you decide to try out this fun technique be sure to let me know...I would love to see it! :)

What I used:
Stamps: Petal Pizzazz, Fresh Cuts (sentiment)
Ink: Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, VersaMark
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Accessories: Word Window Punch, Silver Brads, Scallop Edge Punch, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Brayer, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Dimensionals

Lovin' These Birds...

I was recently out of town for a great workshop and wanted to show all the guests some new techniques, but that are kinda based from some very fun basics. I showed them the basics and then the "stepped up" technique. Ok, so this is the embossing resist technique. Isn't it SO fun?!?! It is such a simple technique that I know I forget about sometimes, but it is perfect for making your own specialty designer paper! :) If you want step by step instructions you can click here to see a great tutorial, but it is so easy.
I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock, stamped my little flower image from the set Cheep Talk (LOVE LOVE that set!) with VersaMark, and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I inked up my brayer with Baja Breeze ink and rolled it across my paper. Once it was the color I wanted, I used a baby wipe to wipe the excess ink from the little flowers. Super easy! :) I finished that card with a piece of the YUM-O ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle.
Here is a detail shot to try and show the fun shiny texture of the embossed flowers. :)

If you have any questions let me know and have fun playing with this fun technique! :) Tomorrow I will show you the "stepped up" technique! :)

What I used:
Stamps: Cheep Talk
Ink: VersaMark, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Brayer, Corner Rounder Punch, Ribbon Bundle
